Training for the ECSC 2019

As you may know, the ECSC 2019 is about to take place from 9 to 11 October and I have to qualify myself through several exercises online (they start Monday 13th and end the 22nd).

In order not to suck too much, I decided to train myself through online CTFs & other challenges on Root-Me. Even if there are many exercise’s types, I’ll focus on vulnerability discovery & exploitation, which is the most common thing in those events; moreover, the ECSC is about making CTF so I think it would be nice to train myself on it.

HackTheBox will be my second resource as CTFs provider in order to get enough resources.

Also, I think I’ll make a bit of python training (socket, requests, ssh, ftp, subprocess…) as I didn’t use it from 2 to 3 months.

Well I’m gonna train right now, expecting the exercises won’t be too hard 🙂

The Journey Begins

post

Here I am : Learning & practicing cyber security.

There are so much things to see (Pen-tests, Forensics, Cracking , Social Engineering…) that I don’t really know where I go. I’ve just began a 10$ Udemy course about website hacking and pen-test on web servers => many people will laugh (and you’re right 🙂 ) but I’m not at University yet and definitely can’t afford a 350$ boring formation.

Then, you may ask : What does this dummy guy will do on this blog ? => I’ll write some articles about my learning’s progression, tools and techniques I personally use for CTF or things like that & my opinion on news about I.T security. Also, I might write some posts about CTF I personally do (like the one who starts Monday to be qualified for the ECSC 2019).

ps : If you have some free or light-cost resources or tools to practice I.T security, I’m waiting for you on my contact page 😉 .
